The antidote to a busy life

Whether your mind’s racing or your body’s running on empty, this is the treatment to slow things down. With light pressure and flowing, rhythmic strokes, our relaxing massage is designed to calm your nervous system, ease tension and create the space to properly let go.

Time out that actually works

Massage can reduce stress by 31%, so when life’s non-stop, a relaxation massage helps to slow things down properly and avoid burning out.

Unwind from head to toe

Unlike targeted treatments, this massage is about gently easing tension across your whole body, from shoulders to soles.

Muscles that feel lighter and looser

With light pressure and flowing strokes, this treatment gently tackles tension without being too stimulating for your nervous system.

After a quick consultation, your Urban pro will begin a full-body treatment using light pressure and long, slow strokes. They’ll bring everything they need, including the massage table and oils – you just need to get some towels ready.

During treatment, expect a gentle massage that includes the arms, legs, feet, back and shoulders. Make it more magical with candles and some relaxing music to fully switch off.

Afterwards, just roll onto the sofa or straight into bed – but make sure to keep yourself hydrated.

Want to meet in the middle? Our Urban classic massage mixes relaxation with relief – using slighter deeper pressure than a relaxing massage to release deep tension.

Learn more about relaxation massages

It’s a gentle, nurturing full-body massage that’ll leave you floating. A relaxing massage uses light pressure and slow, flowing strokes to gently ease muscle tension, calm your nervous system and help your body shift into rest mode.

It’s designed to calm your nervous system, typically with gentle pressure and slow motions across the whole body. By encouraging the mind to slow down first, a relaxing massage can also help to ease muscle tension.

We don't recommend booking a relaxing massage if you're pregnant. Instead, try our specialist pregnancy massage which can be tailored to be relaxing in style. It's delivered by therapists who have undergone extra training in pregnancy-safe massage practices.

When you’re stressed, your body holds on to tension – especially in places like your shoulders, neck and back. This massage helps soften that physical tightness, while the slow rhythm and light pressure help calm your breath and quiet a racing mind.

Studies show that touch activates the vagus nerve, lowering brain activity in regions associated with danger and stress. A massage works the same way to switch off the stress response – sweeping, slow massage strokes invite the body to deeply relax.

Combine your massage with deep breathing, a playlist of your choice and scented candles to enhance the effect.

For the massage table (that your therapist will bring) you’ll need about 2x3m of floor space. That’s about the size of a yoga mat, with enough space to walk around the edge.

Yes, you'll need to supply towels to cover the massage table and yourself. We recommend two large towels (or old sheets) and a smaller one for the headrest. Dark colours are best if you want to protect your towels from massage oil.

Yes, we offer fully customisable massage sessions. From massage type to pressure level and extras like aromatherapy, you can tailor your session to suit your needs. You’ll see all the options to customise your experience when you book.
